Unit 8-Initial blog post

Hi everyone! I'm sitting here trying to figure out which of the two exercises that I found where the most beneficial...I guess if I have to choose it would be loving-kindness and visualization. I chose loving-kindness because that is the foundation and visualization for the benefit of "seeing" things that are not distorted and quite frankly that's how I learn anyway. Practicing loving-kindness on a daily basis or even when you become upset with others and yourself can help me refocus on the good things that we can offer. The visualization is something that I do most everyday anyways but can used for more than picturing a task that I have to complete. Erika

  1. Hi Erika,
I also picked the love- kindness practice. I’m being kinder to people and it pays off. I feel better about myself and make others happy. Good luck completing your tasks. Visualization does work.

  2. Hi Erika,
The visualization and loving kindness exercises were the most beneficial in my opinion as well. The loving-kindness exercises allow you to focus on the positive and share this with others. This is definitely something I can use in my nursing career, as many people need positive energy when they are sick.

  3. Hi Erika,
I think we are all fond of the same meditations. Although I did enjoy them all, I like the ones that I could practice anywhere the best. It is great that you use visualization to complete tasks. I think that I will take a chapter out of your book and attempt to have visualization meditations to help me with completing tasks as well. Thank you for your post and be well!
